It’s been fantastic.The training that’s available through SIAA’s website has been great.  As far as building our agency and transitioning to the independent side, it’s been wonderful. AccessPlus has been phenomenal in training us how to use the system and answering any questions we might have had; just the whole experience has been fantastic.

I’ve been with OAA close to three-and-a-half years and I transitioned from a captive agency, and OAA helped me get started fast and really hit the ground running as I left my captive agency. Really, it went really well and I’m really happy I went with OAA.

It’s been great. It’s nice to have that support. I can pick up the phone and talk to somebody. And, I love, after just hearing the head of OAA speak and what they’re trying to do for independents, I really appreciate the support and knowing that they’re there.

Most recently was just here in the meeting and having the opportunity to speak with Mitch about commercial and what he did and how they target and how they get in the door. There’s just some tremendous knowledge there and then to know that there’s software coming out for business owner policies should really ease doing business and quoting especially the smaller business.

It’s been about a year now that I’ve been with OAA, I was with independent insurance agencies of Arkansas before. The crew, especially the team Ryan, LaDonna, wonderful great people to work with and miles ahead trusting a small agency like us for the first time in a first year. I have great access to two direct carriers; people take like three years or more and have a certain number of premiums first and then getting contracts.

But with me, after meeting Ryan and explaining our business plan and strategy, they trusted us and we coordinated with GOD and that was the first direct relationship we had with a carrier and we have surpassed all of our targets. The first year target we set with GOD was $50,000, but in the past six months, we’ve already passed this target – about $85,000 to $90,000 right now. And Ryan even helped me get into Travelers with a direct relationship so now we have even Travelers for the last couple of months and we’ve been doing great with them and they are happy, too.

So OAA has been very great with working for people with small agencies like me, instead of you having experience of five years before you get a carrier or maybe a million dollars of business. No, no. If you want to grow, I would say this is the best, and the pricing and with AccessPul you have maybe 30 carriers or more. But they have everything whether from wholesale or SURFACE? lines or maybe direct carriers and especially I work with Lily and she has been wonderful, wonderful.

I remember one case with Lily, where we had a special niche program of a bowling alley and none of the carriers in Arkansas were actually ready to write with us and when we contacted Lily she went ahead with Liberty Mutual, from, I believe, Illinois.

And she pollinated so fast and we were able to close the deal in less than a week. The premiums there are more than $20,000 and I was really surprised that within a week we were able to get in touch with such a wonderful team, get together all the pieces and write a business. So if you wish to grow, it’s like space, super fast. I would highly recommend OAA and I really thank all the team for helping us grow. So thank you very much, OAA.
