On Wednesday August 22, Nationwide agents from Arkansas joined OAA in Oklahoma City, to learn more about a possible relationship with our organization. Nationwide Insurance plans to transition to an independent agency model. The company has said the plan is to shift entirely to an independent agency distribution model by July 1, 2020.

Nationwide Insurance to Transition to Independent Agents

The Nationwide agents arrived in the evening, and joined members of the OAA team for dinner at Vast. Vast sits atop the Devon Tower, fifty floors up. The next morning, the group joined once more for breakfast at the OAA offices, where the agents interacted with team leaders and learned more about the SIAA/OAA model and advantages OAA can specifically offer.

LaDonna Mitchell, OAA's Arkansas Territorial Manager, has worked for many years with these Nationwide agents to prepare them for this transition to independence. Our team loved getting to know these agents. We hope they enjoyed their visit to Oklahoma City, too. We look forward to seeing them again soon!
